The heritage behind the majlis

The word "majlis" comes from Arabic and means "a place of sitting". In Arab culture, the majlis is a social space for welcoming guests, discussion and strengthening ties — a tradition also recognised by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.

Many of our designs are inspired by Sadu, the traditional weaving art of the Bedouin people, known for its stripes, diamonds and geometric motifs. These patterns bring warmth and character to any room.
